VANCOUVER –Vancouver Police have made an Indo-Canadian man after a shooting on Wednesday, July 22, in the Sunset neighborhood of Vancouver that left a man with serious injuries.
Vancouver Police responded to a 9-1-1 call just before 9:45 to the area of East 53rd Avenue and Sophia Street for a man who had been shot. The victim, who is also believed to be Indo-Canadian, was rushed to hospital, where he remains with non-life-threatening injuries.

Dhillon remains in custody at the Vancouver jail.
On Thursday, neighbours described numerous past issues at the home that was shot up - including fighting.
Neighbours also say a Vancouver police mobile surveillance unit was placed outside the home by police a couple years ago, reported CTV News.
The shooting marked the second incident of gun violence in the area in just a week.
The home is just a few blocks away from the scene of a deadly shooting on July 13 at Main Street and East 48th Avenue that claimed the life of 30-year-old Amin Shahin Shakur.
There’s no indication the two incidents are related.
