SURREY – Surrey Police Service (SPS) has killed another pedestrian in a road accident following a similar loss of life following another roadside collision just over a week ago.
SPS has notified the Independent Investigations Office (IIO) following a collision between an SPS police vehicle and a pedestrian that has resulted in the pedestrian passing away.

On December 25 at approximately 6:00 am, an SPS police vehicle was involved in a collision with an adult female pedestrian in the 10800 block of 132 Street, Surrey. The pedestrian was transported by BCEHS to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. Despite medical attention from SPS officers, Surrey Fire Service firefighters, BCEHS paramedics, and hospital staff the woman tragically passed away.
SPS has informed the IIO of the incident and they have asserted jurisdiction.

There are no anticipated road closures in relation to the incident.
SPS said it is unable to provide additional information while the IIO’s independent process is taking place.
