LOS ANGELES – Indo-Canadian youtube sensation Lilly Singh will be replacing Carson Daly on “Last Call” with her own late night show on NBC

The newly named “A Little Late With Lilly Singh” will start in September making her the only female to host a late-night talk show on one of the major networks at the current moment.

Singh, who rose to fame on YouTube, was set to announce the news on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday.

Where she said, she is into creating “dope things” and joked that she isn’t “taking Jimmy’s spot.”

“An Indo-Canadian woman with her own late night show? Now that is a dream come true,” Singh said. “I’m thrilled to bring it to life on NBC, and I hope my parents consider this to be as exciting as a grandchild.”

Singh also gave a shoutout to “all the women who came before me.”

“A Little Late” will include interviews, comedy sketches and “signature elements”.

Fallon gave Singh the chance to sit behind the desk so she could get practice in and she was a natural.

Seth Myers gave a surprise appearance carrying bubbly for the three of them to toast her achievement.

Singh’s YouTube channel, known as IISuperwomanII, has over 14 million subscribers. She is also a New York Times bestselling author with her book “How To Be A Bawse: A Guide To Conquering Life”.

Executive vice president, special programs and late night at NBC Entertainment, Doug Vaughan said Singh is “a star” and they are “thrilled to welcome her to [the] NBC family.”

He added, “She is a multi-talented performer who will surely have a great rapport with not only all her guests but also with our devoted late-night audience. We can’t wait to get started.”

Singh will not only just host but act as executive producer.
