TORONTO – An Indo-Canadian man is among three facing charges in an execution-style killing in Mississauga in 2021.
Mohamed Abdirahman was gunned down as he sat in his car outside an east Mississauga restaurant.
Nigel Gutu, 20, of Stoney Creek, is charged with first-degree murder. While Parteek Ghuman, 22, of Stoney Creek, and Malachi Riley, 25, of Mississauga, are each charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
Homicide detectives with Peel Regional Police made the arrests last Thursday in connection with the Sept. 22, 2021 execution-style slaying of Abdirahman.
The killing took place just after 8 p.m. in the parking lot outside Dav’s Hotspot Restaurant at 1365 Mid-Way Blvd., near Dixie Rd. and Courtneypark Dr. E.
Police say Abdirahman was inside his parked vehicle when he was shot and killed by culprits who then fled the area.
Police say the investigation remains active and are urging anyone with information to call detectives at 905-453-2121, ext. 3205, or Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
