The support to the Indian farmers’ ongoing against unjust policies by the Narendra Modi government continues to get support in Canada with a number of organizations including Canadian farmers organization as well as the BC Federation of Labour lending their support. Local Sikh-Canadian groups were joined by others in a protest in front of Facebook offices in Vancouver as Facebook has tried to block the farmers’ message and groups on their platform. Facebook is a major investor in Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Retail, which is behind the Indian government’s policies as they try to take over food distribution and delivery in India at a major drawback to farmers.
