Ethnic Community Newspapers Reach International Audience Online!
New digital/mobile platform gives ethnic papers unprecedented online reach and resources: www.nationalethnicpresscouncil.com
TORONTO – DESIBZZCanada / DESIBUZZbc has been selected to be part of a new online digital platform of ethnic publications, which will reach a large national and international audience.
In today's technology driven world where every industry is going through a massive transformation, the publishing industry is no different.
The content consumption, as well as advertising budgets, are quickly moving to mobile devices as opposed to print media. It is extremely important for Canadian Media to keep up and embrace technology.
"The National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada (NEPMCC) is proud to announce that their local ethnic newspapers will now be accessible to Canadians coast to coast and to readers around the world through the Digital Media Project.
Each community newspaper will have its own templated website and native mobile app and access to the same online publishing resources as the country’s major dailies, thanks to a new content monetization platform and apps created for each member publication by Apptellect, one of the largest development houses in Canada," NEMPCC said in a press release
"NEMPCC and its members are adapting to the changes in technology, to the growing population of ethnic media consumers including the younger generation, by making the content available online, which benefits ethnic media organizations as it is developing a stronger presence online."
NEPMCC is thrilled to partner with Apptellect and would also like to thank the Government of Canada and Canadian Heritage (https://www.canada.ca/en/canadian-heritage.html) for their support of this groundbreaking initiative.
About the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada: The National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada (NEPMCC) is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to promote and integrate the economic, social and cultural interests of ethnic communities into the mainstream of Canadian society.
