Book Your AD In Our Upcoming Issues!

It’s such a proud feeling to put out the inaugural edition of our monthly print version of our online DESIBUZZCanada and desibuzzbc publications, which hit newsstands recently. As many of you know - I have spent my long career in journalism working in every aspect of South Asian media. Starting as a reporter with the Link after graduating from Simon Fraser University to co-founding Aaj Magazine to being the editor of Darpan and DesiToday magazines to writing freelance for Georgia Straight and other mainstream publications - I’ve done everything one can do in print media.

SURREY - It’s such a proud feeling to put out the inaugural edition of our monthly print version of our online DESIBUZZCanada and desibuzzbc publications, which hit newsstands recently.

And this is on top of my filmmaking career (over 40 productions) which has been and will always be my first love. So DESIBUZZ monthly print is going a full circle after I founded the online versions nearly seven years ago.

And in my second love which is journalism - I have always covered the going on in the South Asian community as honestly, truthfully and above all fairly as I can in all it’s glory and all it’s gory. I’ve always stood my ground when publishers and gatekeepers wanted to subvert the truth or tried to suppress the truth.

It’s a reason I founded Desibuzz to tell it like it is without any interference. And I’m encouraged by the support I’ve received for our inaugural issue. I want to thank all our initial supporters, advertisers and well wishers without whom we could not have started this print venture. We hope that our pool of supporters will grow and become an ocean as the media is an important part of society and publications that are powerful reflections of the community and society should be supported and preserved.

I’m also very proud and excited to begin the print publication with my mentor and my former boss Promod Puri on the cover. He steered me on to the journalism journey by printing my first ever story I wrote and then hired me and trained me to follow the core principles of this field. I’m always indebted to him as I have had a great journey in life by being in this profession!

Thank you!!!
