Balbir S. Chohan of Surrey won the Maui ½ Marathon, in the 65-69 age group, which was held in Hawaii last weekend.  The 21.1 km run, started at 5:30 am with a smouldering temperature of 28 degrees Celsius, took him 1 hour and 54 minutes.  Chohan has been a regular at marathons around the world.  In 2018 he ran in the Berlin Marathon in Germany.  In July, he came in 1st at the Jack and Jill Seattle marathon whereby he ran 42.2 km in 4 hours and 1 min. thus qualifying him for the prestigious 2020 Boston Marathon in which over 45,000 runners are to take part. He is currently getting ready for his seventh Marathon of the year that will be held at UBC on October 26.   This Marathon is also 21.1 km.
