Indo-Canadian Woman Among Two Charged In  White Rock Drug Lab

Indo-woman-drug-Kriss VectorWHITE ROCK – An Indo-Canadian woman is among two people charged in the clandestine White Rock drug lab.

Thirty-one -year-old Pardeep Grewal  along with 46-year-old Frederic Wilson-Koonpackdee were arrested at the house. Both have now been charged with a variety of drug and firearms-related offences.

Grewal and Wilson-Koonpackdee are charged with one count each of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl and one count each of possession of a prohibited device.

Wilson is additionally charged with five counts of possession of a firearm and six counts of breach of a firearms prohibition.

Grewal is additionally charged with two counts of breach of a firearms prohibition. Additional charges against both are pending.

On May 3, 2016 the RCMP’s Federal Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response Team (CLEAR) were called to the 800 block Parker Avenue in White Rock to assist the CFSEU-BC in determining if a location was a possible clandestine drug lab after investigators from the CFSEU-BC arrested two people and executed a search warrant on the residence as part of an ongoing investigation.

Upon initial entry into the residence, the CFSEU-BC officers discovered substances and paraphernalia consistent with what is believed to be an illegal synthetic drug lab.

The CLEAR team was called in for an assessment; the house was contained overnight, and was subsequently searched over the remainder of last week. The house was searched and various firearms and drug-related items were discovered.

In a May 10 news release, the anti-gang unit detailed numerous illicit items found in the home and a vehicle included six weapons – among them a Kriss Vector .45 ACP rifle, a loaded Smith and Wesson handgun and a Browning Deringer handgun – ammunition, drugs and cash.

Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton told Peace Arch News the day after the raid that the investigation had been ongoing for “about a couple months.”

Further charges against both are pending, according to the release.
